Local Food Workshops

As part of JUNTOS' mission, we offer interactive workshops that connect you to Arizona’s local food system. Blending learning and dining, we aim to create experiences that not only create greater awareness of local foods, but also give people the chance to grow, cook, and eat them. Our goal is to make the desert's specialties more accessible and build stronger connections to the land and people behind our food.

learn

Through a bilingual (English and Spanish) presentation, we explain what a food system is and what it looks like in Arizona, while highlighting our region's local foods.

Cook

We show you how to cook with some of Arizona's seasonal, local foods through a live recipe demonstration. And, of course, you get to sample the food!

EAT

JUNTOS serves a multi-course dinner of some of most popular menu items featuring several local foods like tepary beans, chiltepins, and Sonoran White wheat berries.

share

Along with your fellow community members, share the recipes that are important to you. We'll put them in a cookbook that you get to take home.
